In recognition of Jabian’s 15th anniversary in 2021, Jabian Cares launched Project Amplify – a micro-grant program to support nonprofits that encourage, enable, and position women and minority entrepreneurs for success.
Our goal is to amplify the success of these entrepreneurs through the establishment of nonprofit partnerships with an organization in each of our four markets that directly supports women and minority entrepreneurs. The program will distribute $175,000 by micro-grants to select organizations, in addition to coaching, access to our social networks, and professional consulting services assistance.
Jabian Cares is our employee-led 501(c)(3) foundation that makes a difference locally through a mixture of volunteerism, leadership, and financial support.

Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE) is an economic mobility engine for the community: driving entrepreneurs and small business owners to innovate, grow, create jobs, and build wealth. We house over 50,000 square feet of convening, meeting, and innovation space in a LEED Silver Certified building, brought to life by a robust offering of educational, networking, mentoring, and capital resources. Part business generator, innovation lab, and museum, RICE invests in Black entrepreneurs, strengthens businesses, and creates community.

One of the oldest and largest affiliates of the National Urban League, the CUL promotes strong, sustainable communities through advocacy, innovation, and collaborative community, corporate and civic relationships.

20% of small businesses fail within the first year, with this figure rising to 70% as they cross the 10 year mark.
Minorities represent roughly 32% of the US population, but just 18% of small business owners.
Being 15 years into our journey, we understand how challenging it can be to build a business from the ground up.
Building a successful business requires not just hard work and tenacity, but also a robust network and support system. We’ve learned that access to these resources is not equally experienced across small business owners, especially female and minority entrepreneurs. Our hope for Project Amplify is to help close the network and resource gap that exists for these small businesses.
