Q: Why did you join Jabian?

A: After over three years at a much larger firm working in a very niche area of the supply chain, I wanted to do something new. I wanted a role that would afford me a wider variety of experiences with the ability to develop long-lasting relationships with clients and coworkers. Jabian gave me all of that as well as the chance to participate at a higher level internally and within my community.

Q: Describe your role. What are your favorite types of projects to work on?

A: As a consultant at Jabian I feel like I’m only constrained by the boundaries I set for myself. I have done work that is very similar to what I have done in the past and I have also done work that is an entirely new experience. I have done some traditional consultant-level work, but I have also helped build business development and networking plans that would typically be work done by more senior-level individuals. I like the much more generalist approach that Jabian takes.

Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

A: My favorite thing to do is travel with my close friends. In the summer we enjoy being on a boat to do wake sports or deep-sea fishing and in the winter, we like to go skiing. We pretty much golf all the time but try to plan at least one big trip each year. When I am home, I am always working on something. I live in a 1970s condo and remodeling it has been a lot of fun.

Q: Any advice for someone who is considering joining Jabian based on your experience?

A: Talk to as many Jabian people as you can and make sure you understand what type of work you will be expected to do outside of client delivery. I tend to find that even the most challenging projects and demanding clients can be fun to work with if you have the right teammates. If you seem to like the people here and want to contribute to the success of Jabian and your clients, then you will probably be a great fit.
