Jabian Cares hosted it’s second annual Day of Service on January 19th, 2015. The event was held across all three office locations – Atlanta, Charlotte, and Dallas – and provided employees and friends with 1-4 options for a day of volunteer work alongside local nonprofit organizations.

This year, Jabian Cares Charlotte assisted Beds for Kids in their warehouse, cleaning, painting, moving, and preparing furniture for delivery. Beds for Kids is a nonprofit organization that provides beds and other essential furniture to children and families in need.

Jabian Cares Dallas worked alongside Readers 2 Leaders, a nonprofit whose mission is to grow the reading skills of children in the West Dallas area to enable them to succeed in school and become prepared to lead productive lives. Jabian helped organize their library space by identifying books, labeling, and cataloging them into their new tracking system.

Jabian Cares Atlanta participated across four different nonprofit organizations – Concrete Jungle, Computers for Youth, Foundation for Hospital Art, and Dress for Success. Activities included: building a shed to store farming tools and supplies, painting art to brighten hospital halls, refurbishing 100 PCs, and organizing a storage room and defining a room use workflow to enable volunteers to more efficient and better serve their constituents.

Overall, 80 people participated over the course of four hours to make the day a success.
