Atlanta, Georgia – December 21, 2011 – The Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta (CVC) has invited Jabian consultant Grant Knox to join its 2012 Board of Directors. A professional association of more than 80 local corporations, the CVC is considered Atlanta’s leading authority for corporate volunteerism, advocating best practices and providing resources to encourage and support companies in their development of strong, meaningful volunteer programs.

Knox personally embodies the passion for community involvement and service that is one of the cornerstones of the CVC’s mission as well as of Jabian’s culture. He is actively involved in Jabian’s charitable foundation, Jabian Cares, which aims to “support innovative approaches to improve the quality of life in our local community.” Jabian Cares donates thousands of dollars to more than 20 charities and organizations annually and gets employees involved with a variety of hands-on projects.

“I am honored to serve on a board with so many talented and caring individuals, all of whom work to help make Atlanta a better community in which to live and work,” says Knox. “The CVC has a long tradition of engaging leaders who are passionate about volunteerism and making a positive impact. I hope to bring my own enthusiasm for service to the table and also share some of the work being done by Jabian Cares.”

More than half of Jabian employees are committee or board members for professional or charitable organizations. In recognition of this community focus, the CVC earlier this year selected Jabian Consulting as a finalist for its elite IMPACT Award, which honors companies with outstanding corporate volunteer programs.
