November 1, 2012 – Atlanta, Georgia – Women in Technology (WIT) announced the winners of its 13th annual Women of the Year in Technology Awards at an awards gala on the evening of Thursday, November 1, at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Jabian Consulting would like to congratulate the 2012 WIT Women of the Year in Technology.

Winners were announced in three categories:

(1) enterprise business, representing companies with more than 2,500 employees

(2) medium business, representing companies with 251 to 2,500 employees

(3) small business, representing companies with 250 or fewer employees

The 2012 winner for the enterprise business category is Carolyn Holcomb, Partner and leader of the Risk Assurance Data Protection & Privacy Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), a specialized technology practice unique to the firm. Carolyn is renowned for her expertise in information technology and security, privacy programs, and compliance with regulatory obligations.

The 2012 winner for the medium business category is Lora Weiss, Ph.D, Lab Chief Scientist and Technical Director of Autonomous Systems at Georgia Tech Research Institute. Her research focus is on the design and development of technologies for unmanned and autonomous systems spanning the domains of air, ground, sea-surface, and undersea.

The 2012 winner for the small business category is Jackie Breiter, Senior Director and CIO at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. Jackie has over twenty years experience building and leading teams in Fortune 1000 companies and combines extensive technological knowledge with strong strategy and communication skills. At Goizueta, Jackie drives the strategic direction and management for all aspects of technology relating to teaching, faculty research, students, and administration.

Jabian Executive Director and 2011 WIT Woman of the Year Jenni Crenshaw presented Jackie Breiter, winner for the small and emerging business category. “It was an honor to once again participate in the WIT Women of the Year in Technology gala.  Being surrounded by such amazing women is always an inspiration,” says Jenni.
