November 29, 2012 – Atlanta, Georgia – The Georgia Science & Technology Strategic Plan, presented this morning at TAG and GTRI’s Seventh Annual Legislative Roundtable, is the result of a joint effort across the public and private sectors with leadership from Jabian Consulting.

The goal of the Georgia Science & Technology (S&T) Strategic Plan is to stimulate the state’s economy by growing Georgia into a global leader in Science and Technology. The Strategic Plan will establish a holistic and practical vision, mission, and set of goals, created through a series of working sessions with an executive committee composed of Georgia legislators, non-profit, education, and private sector leaders. The components of the Strategy were developed using Jabian’s Strategic Planning Framework.

Rather than developing a strategy for a single organization, Jabian developed a strategic plan for the state of Georgia, with a focus in four specific entities: education, non-profit, private sector, and public sector,” states Alex Aschenbroich.

“The Strategic Plan articulates not only the vision, mission, goals, and recommendations for the State as a whole, but it also covers the execution of the strategy by assigning owners, participants, success metrics, costs, and near-/mid-/long-term time designations to each recommendation  for owners to enact the plan to bring Georgia’s economy to the forefront of the global stage.”

Jabian is proud to be involved with both GTRI and TAG in such an influential and exciting project. For more information on GTRI, visit https://www.gtri.gatech.edu/. To learn more about TAG, visit https://www.tagonline.org/.
