October 17, 2012 – Atlanta, Georgia – Jabian Consulting’s Danielle Joiner-McPherson moderated this month’s Women in Technology (WIT) Forum on Earning Respect, held October 17, 2012, at Villa Christina in Atlanta.
Speaking on the panel were Stephanie Hill, Executive Director of WIT, and Trish Jones, Former Technology Executive at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.
Panelists spoke to the point that respect is not given; respect is earned through integrity, consistency in deed and word, and courage. Stephanie Hill emphasized that “nothing you do can be done alone.” A major component of earning respect is making people feel valued and appreciated.
