Using a Community Engagement Strategy to Improve the Bottom Line

The Client:

A Fortune 500 financial services company was expanding their presence in a new market. They wanted leaders who relocated to plug into the community early and with key opportunities that aligned to their strategic initiatives. Making a positive social impact is a key company value so they partnered with Jabian to develop their Community Engagement Strategy in Atlanta. 

The Challenge:

One of the ways the organization wanted to support its leaders establishing the new office in Atlanta was through identifying community impact opportunities, prioritizing these opportunities, and curating an outreach plan for each of their executive leaders in order to make meaningful connections in the Atlanta community.

The Strategy:

A Jabian team helped the client understand the key strategic initiatives of the business. Jabian aligned the Community Engagement Strategy to the company’s strategic initiatives and identified opportunities to boost social impact, university engagement, and investment in talent and culture. Through a rigorous interview process with each leader, an engagement plan was curated and shared with each leader and Human Resources. The curated outreach plan provided the best opportunities for the leader to plug into the local community and take next steps.

The Outcome:

Leaders were able to leverage their individual outreach plan to make meaningful connections and contributions in the community. This also boosted employee engagement and retention in the market. The community engagement activities are tracked in a company database for easy access and management.
