Q: Why did you join Jabian?
Q: I joined Jabian for several reasons. Jabian values and prioritizes so many of the things I was looking for in a firm. It was important to me that I join a firm where I felt like it was something more than a “next step” in my career. I was seeking opportunities, room for growth, and somewhere I felt I could build a lasting career. While I’ve only been with Jabian for a year, the firm has afforded me so many opportunities – the opportunity to do more truly strategic consulting work, the opportunity to learn more about business development and to contribute to pursuits, and the opportunity to build my network and make a real difference in our community and clients’ lives. Most of all, it is the caliber of people at Jabian that made my decision to join easy. My Jabian colleagues are exceptionally smart and hard-working, collaborative, and genuinely committed to collective success. I am surrounded by individuals who support me, challenge me, and impact me in a powerful way. I’m excited about what’s ahead.
Q: What is the best part about working for a local firm?
A: For me, it’s the sense of community I feel both inside and outside Jabian. Not only do I feel a strong sense of community internally with my Jabian colleagues (despite the pandemic and remote work), but I also feel a strong sense of community with our long-term clients, local organizations, and the cities in which we work. Being local allows me and my Jabian colleagues to truly establish and maintain strong relations with the individuals we work alongside and serve, and that truly makes all the difference.
Q: What type of projects do you work on?
A: I work on client-facing projects that specialize in strategic planning and human capital management. Most recently, I worked on a project where I helped our client strategically plan, execute, and successfully manage a large change to modernize their invoicing process to streamline cash collections and improve customer satisfaction.
Q: What does a career at Jabian look like?
A: A career at Jabian is one where you are in control, with the support of your career developer, fellow colleagues, and leaders. You can voice your passions and interests as you decide your personal platform, the offerings and work you are involved in, and the organizations you wish to support.
