Atlanta’s Jabian Consulting joins with CTAM of the Rocky Mountains – a professional marketing association – to support its signature fundraising event, SkiTAM. Funds raised by SkiTAM allow the US Adaptive Ski Team to train and compete throughout ski season.

Vail, Colorado – April 1, 2010 – Jabian Consulting of Atlanta is supporting the Rocky Mountain chapter of the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) as a silver sponsor of SkiTAM, an annual ski weekend and the single largest source of funds supporting the US Adaptive Ski Team. The 2010 SkiTAM event will take place April 8-11 in Vail.

The weekend includes professional development discussions as well as social events, ski races and clinics, and opportunities to meet members of the US Adaptive Ski Team, many of whom competed in the Paralympics this winter. Proceeds benefit the team, providing for training expenses throughout ski season.

“Helping these outstanding athletes achieve their dreams is a truly inspiring experience,” said Fred Jewell, executive director for Jabian. “It’s always a pleasure to work alongside telecommunications industry leaders, and to do it in a way that combines our passion for community service with our love of athletics is ideal. This is a cause that’s both meaningful and a lot of fun.”

Nigel Zelcer, Jabian co-founding partner, explains that every Jabian employee is encouraged to engage in community service. “Being involved in SkiTAM is a privilege for us,” he says. “And as consultants who strive for innovation and creative approaches to challenges, we have a lot to learn from these athletes.”

As a networking event, SkiTAM attracts VIPs and industry leaders from the cable and telecommunications industry. The Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing is a nonprofit association providing education opportunities and managing cooperative marketing initiatives for cable companies, content providers, and others who serve the cable industry.
