Congratulations to Sean Gold, who was recently elected to the Associate Board of Chicago Debates!

Chicago Debates is the largest urban debate league in the U.S. and supports middle and high school students to achieve academic success through their programs. Debate is a transformational activity that helps young students find their voice and build high-level reading, critical thinking, and evidence-based argumentation skills.

Independent peer-reviewed and published studies demonstrate that participation in competitive debate leads to higher GPAs, higher graduation rates, and better college readiness (based on ACT scores). Debaters in the league are 300% more likely to graduate high school, and 80% more likely to graduate college than their peers.
