Jabian’s Michael Lan, Georgia Tech Business Network Board Member, says “We had an outstanding turnout at out GTBN Startup Buzz event with over 225 attendees. We invited the who’s who of the Atlanta startup community to discuss how to successfully turn an idea into a startup. It’s great to be a part of this organization so I can give back to the community.”

The impressive audience turnout is a direct result of the GTBN Board’s recent focus on the reinvigoration, internal strategy, and brand campaigning for the organization. As members of the Georgia Tech Business Network Board, Jabian Consulting’s Anna Pinder and Michael Lan play an important role in such development.

In 2011 – the year Anna Pinder served as President of the Board – GTBN hosted eight extremely successful events. “Under Anna’s leadership on the Board, Georgia Tech Business Network really took off,” says Michael Lan.

Events included “Building the Beltline”, a spotlight on the Atlanta Beltline and what it means for Atlanta business; “Put the Sting in your Swing” golf lessons and networking; and “Learn the Lingo Method” for effective business communications.  More recently, GTBN hosted “Talking Traffic” a public forum on the July Transportation Referendum and an exclusive book-signing with the retired CEO of Coca-Cola Neville Isdell that sold out in a day.

The Georgia Tech Business Network is alive and thriving, and Jabian Consulting looks forward the next event.

Georgia Tech Business Network, started in 2002, takes pride in connecting the Georgia Tech community with Atlanta business and technology leaders, facilitating discussions of current and relevant issues from a wide variety of industries while fostering ideas and networking.
