Our next Women’s History Month Spotlight features Angelita Davis who recently joined Jabian as the Payroll and Benefits Administrator!
Angelita brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table, having worked in a similar role for several years before joining the firm. She shares what brought her to Jabian and her advice for other women in the workplace.
Q: Where did you join from and what brought you to Jabian?
A: I spent 16 years in the legal space as the director of HR and payroll operations. What brought me to Jabian was the commitment to work-life balance, Jabian’s commitment to community, and the ability to continue to grow in my career and use my talents to grow the Jabian brand.
Q: What is one thing you would tell your starting-out self if you could?
A: Protect your mental health!
Q: What advice would you give to the next generation of female leaders?
A: The advice I would give to the next generation of female leaders is to make sure you have a solid support system. Protect your mental health at all costs and do not hesitate to say no.
Q: What are some challenges that remain for women today?
A: There are so many challenges that remain for women today. The two that stand out to me are balancing family and career and equal pay for equal work.
